Hourani's "Reason & Tradition in Islamic Ethics" Presentation
My presentation for George F. Hourani’s Reason and Tradition in Islamic Ethics addresses key issues for cultural and normative diversity through challenging the implicit bias for perceiving Islam only as a religious practice. Instead, the presentation introduces Islam as a philosophy that guides the normative values for the two major sects (Sunni and Shiite) of Islam. The intentions for the presentation was to examine how I could promote more inclusive practices in public administration and policy.

The National Park Service: Budget Trend Analysis Report
The budget trend analysis introduces the normative dimensions for budgeting through showcasing the general attractiveness for the fund generating capacity of the federal government. As priorities change among legislators, the allocation of tax revenue is often in flux. Therefore, public managers must operate with shortfalls in their budgets while still effectively meeting the needs of their constituents. Although the National Park Service does not follow my career trajectory, many elements of this artifact directly transcend across all areas of public administration.
